Water Treatment

Residential Water Treatment

Your drinking water is an important part of your life;

An investigation by Stratagem revealed that across Lebanon nearly 800 water systems, in addition to MI, had exceeded federal standards for lead contamination.

HJM group uses its proprietary technologies to provide decentralized, standard, and custom-designed water treatment solutions that can reliably deliver safe drinking water to your home.

The geological nature of Lebanon is rich with an underground lime topology. This greatly contaminated our water. Contamination of residential water poses many risks, including:

  • Decrease of piping life-span
  • All in-house equipment deterioration
  • Spoil of clothes upon washing
  • Health problems
  • Food contamination
  • Hair loss
  • And more …

Treating your water is of the utmost importance, for you, your children and the whole family!

How do you know if you need a water purification or treatment system? What can you do to find the best filter for your home and where do you start?

HJM group present these helpful and important steps to find the right water treatment solution for your home.

Step 1: Find Out What is in Your Water

Free Home Water Testing: Schedule a free in-home water test today to get custom solutions for your toughest water problems. Our technicians come-in and take a sample of your water. Three tests are conducted, two of them being on-site, which allows our technicians to give you some insight on the quality of your water directly. If needed the lab water test is conducted.

Lab Water Test: An alternative to our free in-home water test, HJM group’ lab test reveals harder-to-identify water problems. Based on the results from the initial test, your HJM technician will determine if a laboratory test is necessary. Your technician will then send your water sample to our EPA-certified lab for in-depth analytical testing. Results will be returned in about three days, which is when we can discuss the findings and recommendations with you.

Our laboratory generates water quality report (called a CCR or consumer confident report). This report will give insight on:

  • Hardness
  • Iron
  • Acid water
  • Nitrate
  • Bacteria
  • Organics (petroleum, VOCs and SOCs)
  • Hydrogen sulphide
  • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
  • Arsenic
  • Radium
  • Uranium

Step 2: Decide What Contaminants You Want to Reduce

Once we know what contaminants are in your water, we consult you with the best treatment solution that is certified to address your water quality concerns.

It’s important to understand that not all filters can reduce all contaminants. Based on the water report or your water testing results, we help you decide what contaminants you need to reduce in your drinking water.

Step 3: Compare Options for Water Treatment

A number of water treatment solutions are available. They range from whole-house systems that treat all the water in your house, to filters for specific areas such as the kitchen faucet, to more portable solutions such as a water pitcher or even countertop filters. Some treat only one contaminant while others treat many.

Point-of-use (POU) systems treat the water where you drink or use it, and include water pitchers, faucet filters and reverse osmosis (RO) systems. Reverse osmosis systems are the only NSF certified systems that reduce fluoride and nitrate; and reduce both lead and copper.

Whole-house/point-of-entry (POE) systems treat the water as it enters a residence. They are usually installed near the water meter (municipal) or pressurized storage tank (well water). Whole-house treatment systems include UV microbiological systems, water softeners or whole-house filters for chlorine, taste, odour and particulates.

HJM group have generated a revolution in optimizing water treatment systems by providing the most cost-effective designs. We can provide you with various system options, tailored to your financial ease (whether it is by minimizing your capital investment, or operating payments), and your payment capabilities.

1.  Point-of-Use Filters

2.  Whole-House Filters

Step 4: Increase the Life span of your system

Once we install your home water treatment system, it will need time-to-time maintenance to expand its lifetime and proper operation. We will give you the schedule of maintenance and the time required to change your filters. Some filters have indicator lights and some may recommend time ranges for replacement. We will teach you how to familiarize yourself with the replacement requirements of your water treatment system.
